Vintage Gold Toned Chainmail Ribbon Bows in 2 sizes

from $1.50
Dubbed Mary Bowlyn by our creative director, these small decorative accents recall a time of glamour and elegance. These ornaments are at once so very metal and feminine. They are longing to be part of some steampunk cosplay.

Slightly dulled by time, the tiny chainmail is lovely to look at and play with. We are unsure when exactly they were made, but we are thinking between the 1920s -1950s. Gwyn has bobby pins with very similar bows from the 30s, but gold-tone and chainmail were also quite popular in the 50s, so it’s hard to be sure.

These come in two sizes, the larger bows are about 52mm wide and 26mm tall at the widest part. These charms do not have any connecting apparatus.
The smaller ones are approx 33mm wide and 21mm tall at the widest area. They have small attaching holes.
